Montgomery County District Attorney Announced Investigation into Two Deaths in Whitemarsh Township

As we have reported, two bodies were discovered earlier today at 540 South Bethlehem Pike in Whitemarsh Township. There was a large police response, including SWAT, and thus far no one has been arrested. Below is an announcement from the Montgomery County District Attorney announcing an investigation:

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele and Whitemarsh Township Police Chief Christopher P. Ward announce the joint investigation into the Dec. 4, 2018 deaths of two elderly people outside of a residence at 540 S. Bethlehem Pike in Whitemarsh Township.

At 11:11 a.m. today, Whitemarsh Township Police responded to the residence for a report of two bodies being discovered by a U.S. Postal Service worker. Police officers arrived on scene and located a deceased female and deceased male outside of the home. The Montgomery County Detective Bureau and Whitemarsh Township Police are conducting a joint investigation into these deaths.

The identities of the deceased are being withheld pending family notifications. Autopsies will be scheduled at the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.
