Montgomery County now recommends wearing masks indoors

Montgomery County announced today that the Montgomery County Commissioners in consultation with the Office of Public Health announced today that as of Monday, August 16th, masking is now recommended indoors for the general public.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health COVID Early Warning Monitoring System Dashboard shows that August 13th marks two weeks that the county has been in the substantial level of COVID-19 community transmission.

The notice states, “The County is following CDC guidelines to maximize protection from the Delta variant and prevent spread of the virus. This is in accordance with the County’s previously released masking guidance for the general public.”

Montgomery County is requiring masks for all staff and visitors to all county buildings and facilities starting on August 16th.
