Two or three times a year we try to provide a run down of upcoming events in the Conshohocken, West Conshohocken, Plymouth Township and Whitemarsh Township. This update goes through the July 4th weekend. This post will also be updated a few times in the coming weeks so we can provide more details on events that only have “save the date” status at this point. We are sure to have missed a few things, so feel free to submit an event to kevin@morethanthecurve.com.

March 4

Soles4Souls Benefit | Conshohocken Brewing Company | 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Conshohocken Brewing Company is donating 25% of sales to benefit the Soles4Souls, Inc. organization and helping them transport the hundreds of shoes they have collected to help those in need.

March 12

IPA Madness Tap Takeover | Flanigan’s Boat House | 6:00 p.m.
Tap takeover featuring Russian River Pliney the Elder, Bells Hopslam and 11 other IPA’s. There will also be a complimentary buffet with IPA Hot Wings and other items. 100% of the sales of Pliney the Elder will be donated to the Conshohocken Police Association. Please note that this event was originally scheduled for March 5th, but was rescheduled.

March 14

Shredding Day | Miles Park | 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Free shredding event for residents to bring unwanted documents to be shredded. There is a $10.00 fee for resident commercial enterprises and a $15.00 fee for commercial non-residents. There are no limits. Proceeds will benefit local organizations volunteering to assist with the event. Rain or shine.

2nd annual Conshohocken St. Paddy’s Day 5K Classic | 10:30 a.m. Registration, 12:00 p.m. Race

March 20

Fish Fry Friday | Ballroom at the Washington Fire Company No. 1 | 3:00 p.m.
You can dine-in or take-out. Pre-orders are available and encouraged. You can place an order by calling (610) 828-5137 starting at noon on March 20th. Orders will be available for pick up starting at 3:00 p.m.

CPW Rotary’s Vegas Night | Washington Fire Company No. 1 | 6:00 p.m.
Try you luck at blackjack, roulette, craps and poker to benefit AIM Academy.

April 11

Three redevelopment experts will examine Conshohocken’s efforts to manage its evolution from an industrial river town into a thriving suburb at the first “Conshy at the Crossroads” community discussion.

May 2

Montreal Royal @ Philadelphia Phoenix | A. A. Garthwaite Stadium | 6:30 p.m.
Professional ultimate frisbee match.

Derby de Mayo | Baggataway Tavern | 3:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
Baggataway’s annual mash-up of the Kentucky Derby and Cinco de Mayo. Come celebrate with mint juleps, a taco buffet, beers, margaritas, televisions outside for the race, live music and more, all outside under a tent (until 11:00 p.m.). The party moves inside after 11:00 p.m. This year is also Baggataway 10th anniversary. Stay tuned for more details on the event and the anniversary.

May 5

Touch a Truck | Miles Park | 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Bring the kids to explore all different types of trucks.

May 13

Mini Spring Fling | Cedar Grove Barn | 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Children will enjoy crafts, snacks, games, prizes and more.

May 16

Bike Rodeo | Miles Park | 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The Whitemarsh Township Police Department provides bike safety and education.

Relay for Life | Sutcliffe Park | Starts at 10:00 a.m.
Teams of walkers converge on Sutcliffe Park to raise funds for the American Cancer Society and the community is invited to attend for a day full of activities.

Backyard Games | Plymouth Swim Club | 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Teams of 10 to 12 play kick-ball. Losing teams move into consolation rounds of volleyball, a three-point contest and giant jenga, plus there are cornhole and horseshow tourneys. Registration opens early March. Sign-up to be notified.

MoreThanTheCurve.com’s Summer Kick-Off & Reggae Jam | Plymouth Swim Club | 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Three pools, live music from Moses Livingston and the Ragamuffins, a beer garden, food and more. Tickets go on sale in early March. Sign-up to be notified (same registration as Backyard Games)

International Rugby 9’s Tournament & Beer Garden | A. A. Garthwaite Stadium | Rugby All Day | Beer Garden 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The Philadelphia Fight Rugby League Club invites teams from around the country and world to compete in a day long rugby tournament. Once the Summer Kick-Off is over, you can head over to the tournament for a beer garden, food and rugby. Tickets go on sale in early March.
