New owners of former Exxon property at East 7th and Fayette have a plan for retail and apartments/condos

The former Exxon station property at 701 Fayette Street in Conshohocken sold to C G E M, LLC in May of 2019 for $1 million. When we last reported on this property in 2018, it looked like a medical marijuana company was going to redevelop the property as a dispensary. That company, Cansortium, ended up not getting the proper license as anticipated.

So what is the plan of the new owners? We messaged with Christina Chung, one of the members of C G E M, LLC, and she shared the following:

The plan for the property is to develop a multi-use structure that includes retail on the first floor and apartments/condos above. There will be parking in the back, I believe. I’m particularly excited for this project as Conshohocken has become such an exciting place to live and work. I’m hoping our property will jumpstart the extension of all the wonderful development in the borough to the the northern end of Fayette street and serve as a bridge to the Plymouth-Whitemarsh communities.

Last year, you may have noticed the sign on the property was promoting the Philadelphia Phoenix, an Ultimate frisbee team that plays at A. A. Garthwaite Stadium in Conshohocken. Chung is one of the owners of the team.

More to come.
