News & Gossip – Week of 11/16/09

(Above) – Conshohocken’s Julie, a dental assistant and former professional cheerleader, has always had her boyfriends pay for everything. Now she’s single and living off her mom, Denise, and brother, Chad. Mom has gone so far as to dip into her pension fund to keep Julie afloat, and Chad is sick of Julie living with him while he supports her.  The episode of Bank of Mom & Dad that she appears in will air on  Wednesday November 18th at 10PM/9c on SOAPnet.

During his preparation for the World Series, Shane Victorino received massage therapy at Celebrity Massage located at Plymouth Square Shopping Center on Ridge Pike (its midway between the Baja Fresh and Salad Works).

Space in downtown Conshohocken seems to be a hot commodity.  When  Viggiano’s closed, it was quickly picked up by Spamps.  The corner spot at 1st at Fayette was picked up by Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches when the nail saloon’s lease was not renewed and now Style of Man is opening a Conshohocken location on the west side of Fayette next to Win Wah.  That  leaves only the spot formally occupied by the Philly Pretzel Factory with a “for rent” sign up.  Yes I know, I did not mention 8 East, it is technically occupied, just not open for business.
