Norfolk Southern Railroad to Close Flourtown Road for Bridge Maintenance Starting June 14th

Norfolk Southern Railroad is planning to close Flourtown Road between Butler Pike and Woodbine Way in Whitemarsh Township beginning Tuesday, June 14th, for railroad bridge maintenance, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) recently announced. The closure will be in effect through early August.

During construction, motorists traveling on Flourtown Road will be detoured over Joshua Road, Germantown Pike and Butler Pike. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area. The work schedule is contingent on the weather.

Norfolk Southern Railroad will complete the project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
