Plymouth Meeting Property Back On-Sale After Townhouse Plan Not Recommended by Whitemarsh’s Planning Commission

Back in April, a developer proposed to build 61 townhouses on a 23 acre property at Militia Hill Road and Stenton Avenue in Plymouth Meeting (Whitemarsh Township). When before Whitemarsh’s Planning Commission, the proposal was rejected unanimously.

The developer could have tried to still seek approval from Whitemarsh’s Board of Supervisors, but it looks like that is not the case. The property is back on-sale on LoopNet.com for a cool $3.5 million.

There was a lot of talk during the Planning Commission meeting about how Whitemarsh Township should purchase this property as open space. The cost would be about $200.00 per resident of the township.
