Plymouth Township police announce arrest of lone suspect in Wawa stabbing in Plymouth Meeting

The Plymouth Township Police Department announced on October 17th the arrest of Ivan Davonte Stevens Jr. for aggravated assault and related offenses regarding a stabbing incident that occurred on the morning of Saturday, October 8th at the Wawa located at 1300 East Ridge Pike in Plymouth Meeting (Plymouth Township).

According to police, the investigation revealed that a physical altercation took place between two individuals in the parking lot. During the physical altercation, the victim was stabbed multiple times by Stevens, who fled the area following the assault. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Paoli Hospital.

Following the issuance of a felony arrest warrant, surrendered at the Plymouth Township Police Department on Thursday, October 13th. The Honorable District Justice, Deborah Lukens arraigned Stevens, Jr. and set bail at $99,000, cash. At a bail review hearing on October 14th, Common Pleas Judge, the Honorable Henry S. Hilles III, ordered that the bail remain the same as imposed by MDJ Lukens.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, October 25th at 11:00 a.m. before the Honorable District Judge, Jodi Griffis. (Montgomery County District Court #38-1-13).
