Plymouth Whitemarsh High School football wins first playoff game in 20 years

Plymouth Whitemarsh High School’s football team finished the season 8-1 and played Abington High School in the first round of the playoffs on Friday, November 1st.

The Colonials jumped out to a first-quarter lead of 21-0. Then play was pretty even with Abington squaring two touchdowns in each of the final three quarters and the Plymouth Whitemarsh scoring five additional touchdowns. The final score was 56-42.

The standout for the Colonials was senior running back Brian Dresnin who ran for 299 yards and scored four touchdowns.

This was the first playoff win for Plymouth Whitemarsh in 20 years.

The Colonials will now face Garnet Valley on November 8th. Both teams are 10-1.
