Plymouth Whitemarsh High School’s Tyler Zameska Receives Maurice Doroba Scholarship

Plymouth Whitemarsh High School senior Tyler Zameska is the recipient of the $500 Maurice Doroba Scholarship. Zameska, a Distinguished Honor Roll student, plans to study psychology at Temple University next year.

The Maurice Doroba Scholarship was created in memory of the former Plymouth Whitemarsh High School and Colonial Middle School student who tragically lost his life in 2014. Maurice’s family created the scholarship to raise mental health awareness in youth by breaking down barriers so that children feel comfortable speaking out about anxiety and depression and to be accepting of differences in others.

Among the criteria for consideration of the award are school or community involvement, a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and a plan to pursue a degree in psychology, criminal justice, mental healthcare, communications, arts, journalism or language.
