The Plymouth Township Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred along the 400 block of Township Line Road in Plymouth Meeting (Plymouth Township) on December 2nd just before 12:30 p.m. The name of the 40-year-old deceased driver has not yet been released. Police did report that it was a mid-size commercial work truck and that the driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

The investigation, led by the department’s highway patrol unit, has led police to believe the truck left the roadway and struck a telephone pole, a split-rail fence, and a tree.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Highway Patrol Unit of the Plymouth Township Police Department. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call Highway Patrol Sergeant Anthony Costello at 610-279-1901.

The Plymouth Township Police Department was assisted on the scene by the Harmonville Fire Company, the Centre Square Fire Company, the Second Alarmers Rescue Squad, and the Whitpain Township Police Department.
