Portion of Butler Pike in Plymouth Meeting to close for 30 days

Whitemarsh Township has announced that PECO will be closing a section of Butler Pike in Plymouth Meeting for 30 days beginning July 25th. The work will take place between 5160 and 5168 Butler Pike, which is in the area of the Lulu Shriners facility. To ensure the safety of PECO crews and the community, this section of the road will be completely blocked. This had been scheduled earlier in the summer but was then delayed.

All residents who live South of 5160 Butler Pike are asked to access/exit your residence via Campus Drive or straight out Butler Pike.

All residents who live North of the 5168 Butler Pike are asked to access/exit your residence/ place of business via Stenton Avenue or Township Line Road.

Drivers are asked to use reduced speeds and extreme caution when entering the road closure area to access your residence/ place of business for the safety of the construction workers and pedestrians.

During this work, PECO will work with local officials to minimize the impact on traffic and pedestrians whenever possible. Access for services such as trash removal and emergency vehicles will be maintained during construction.

Any areas impacted on your property and streets will be repaired and restored to their original condition. Work to repair and repave area roadways will occur following the completion of the natural gas main.
