PREIT appeals Plymouth Zoning Board decision on apartments at Plymouth Meeting Mall

PREIT, the owner of the Plymouth Meeting Mall, has filed an appeal to the unanimous decision by Plymouth Township Zoning Hearing Board in September of 2021 to not grant a special exception to allow an apartment community on the mall property.

PREIT proposed building an apartment community on the Whole Foods Market side of the mall where IKEA’s headquarters use to be located (the building is still standing). The building would have been 11 stories tall with 503 units.

The appeal has been filed when the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas. You can view the lawsuit here.
