Presidents’ Day is Not a Public Works Holiday

A few people have asked us today if their trash will be picked up tomorrow, Monday, February 17th.  The question is coming up due to all the recent snow fall and the fact that the 17th is Presidents’ Day. According to the schedule posted on the Borough of Conshohocken’s website, the Public Works Department does not take off for Presidents’ Day.

Here are the holidays that they do enjoy (plus some instruction on what happens when holidays fall on weekends, etc):

When your trash and recycle collection day falls a holiday,

Unless the holiday is on a Monday then your Recyclables only will be picked-up on Tuesday.

When a Holiday falls on a Saturday or a Sunday it is observed on the following Monday.
