River Road / Route 23 Back Open After Sink Hole Causes Temporary Closure

Last night we reported that the Upper Merion Police Department was reporting that River Road/23 was closed between 320 and Bridgeport due to a sink hole. It referred to the closure as an “extended period of time,” which brought back memories of the extended closure of a portion of Plymouth Road last year due to a sink hole.

This morning things did not look so bleak. We saw reports on social media that the road was back open. We drove down to confirm and it was indeed open, however, there are barrier shifting traffic away from the sinkhole.
