Riverfront streets in Conshohocken closed until further notice

The Borough of Conshohocken has closed Washington Street and the side streets below Elm Street until further notice. Basically, you can’t drive to the riverfront.

Here is the notice:

Due to the increase in flooding, Washington Street and all side streets from Elm Street to Washington Street are closed until further notice.

We will continue to monitor the flood watch and provide updates as available. Thank you for your cooperation.

Prior to this notice, the Borough provided this information about the riverfront:

Residents and Visitors are advised to stay clear of the Conshohocken Riverbank areas. This will allow our Emergency Response crews to keep this area clear and safe during the flood watch period.

1) Septa Trains have been suspended North of Miquon.
2) Avoidance of the Conshohocken Riverbank areas and secondary streets off of the Riverbank is recommended. These areas include Riverwalk, Londonbury, The Marriott, Septa Parking Lot, Washington St., Cherry St., Harry St., Stoddard Ave. and Ash St. up to East Elm St.
3) If you are in transit, avoid streets that are under water, closed or barricaded.
