Riverfront Townhouses Approved by Whitemarsh’s Zoning Hearing Board

On Wednesday, February 13th, Whitemarsh’s Zoning Hearing Board approved an application for a townhouse community at 901 Washington Street in the Conshohocken section of Whitemarsh Township. This property is just upriver from the office of David’s Bridal and the Spring Mill Train Station.

The approval was for 62 townhouses. The application called for 75. We are told there was also a plan for 89.

One thing we need to determine is how this approval impacts Washington Street. The street dead-ends at a fence at this property as you drive downriver from the Borough of Conshohocken and into Whitemarsh. Whether this will open the roadway up to connect to Lee Street and create another path off the riverfront is something we will work on finding out.
