Someone working under the name “Montgomery County Citizens for the Truth” is putting up signs in Whitemarsh Township that blame the Democratic Party for the traffic and road/bridge closures that have plagued the township for more than a year.

We spotted the sign pictured above on Flourtown Road, where there are several of these signs on Flourtown between Butler Pike and the entrance to the schools.

Terence Martin, the chair of the Whitemarsh Republican Committee, made a statement on Facebook that the party wasn’t behind the signs.

As far as we can tell, the organization that claims to have paid for the signs (as printed on the signs) doesn’t exist or is so new it hasn’t popped up in Google or campaign finance databases.
