The Borough of Conshohocken has announced that it will be necessary to close portions of three streets leading to railroad crossings in Conshohocken to allow for repairs and the operation of SEPTA’s Regional Rail to the Conshohocken Train Station. All of the crossings in Conshohocken sustained substantial damage.

Starting Monday, September 13th, Cherry, Poplar, and Harry streets will be closed between East Elm Street and the tracks. Harry Street will be the only one open for pedestrian traffic.

The crossing at Ash Street will remain fully operational to all traffic. Police will be present and monitoring the intersection in the morning and in the afternoon for the first two days.

Once the repairs are completed at Cherry, Poplar, and Harry streets, Ash Street will be closed for repairs. The three streets and crossings will be closed for approximately six weeks.

The Borough of Conshohocken advises to take caution as the trains will be running during this period. Trains will come to a complete stop at Ash Street and the conductor will get out and secure the area for the train to move through slowly, then re-board. This will result in a delay in train service.
