The Philadelphia Inquirer has a story today that reminds us of the Santa statue that became a community rallying point in Bridgeport in 2018. This time it involves a bench that was taken from a dumpster at a construction site in Conshohocken and ended up becoming a big hit in Gloucester City, NJ.

The throwaway bench, now known as Big Daddy’s Bench” is where people meet to take photos, collect donations during Thanksgiving and Christmas, and more. Read the story about Greg “Big Daddy” Conklin and the bench here.
