Tobacco Shop Seeks to Open in Lafayette Hill

A tobacco shop is seeking to open in the Shoppers World retail center at 551 Germantown Pike in Lafayette Hill. The space involved is the original Knishes & Dishes (which moved to a larger space a few doors down).

To open, the shop will need to obtain a conditional use approval from Whitemarsh Township’s Board of Supervisors. The hearing will be held on Thursday, May 9th at 7:00 p.m.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE The Whitemarsh Township Board of Supervisors will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. at the Township Building located at 616 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA. The purpose of the hearing is to hear the application of David Wijaya (the “Applicant”) regarding tax parcel 65-00-04294-00-6, Block 022F, Unit 084, located at 551 Germantown Pike (in the “Shoppers World” shopping center), Lafayette Hill, PA (the “Property”) owned by Young Hee Lee. The property is approximately 1,762 sq.ft. located in the VC1-Village Commercial Sub-district 1. The applicant seeks conditional use approval to allow a tobacco retail business from the Whitemarsh Township Board of Supervisors, pursuant to Section 116-290.C.(1) of Chapter 116, Zoning, of the Code of the Township of Whitemarsh. This application will also be reviewed by the Whitemarsh Township Planning Commission prior to the Public Hearing, at their meeting on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 7:00 P.M.
