The Plymouth Township Police Department have announced the arrest of Lonnell Chestnut and Jisceton Cobb for allegedly passing counterfeit currency at Whole Foods Market in Plymouth Meeting and a bunch of other places at the Plymouth Meeting Mall.

Here is the report:

On March 28, 2019 at approximately 2100 hours two male suspects passed counterfeit currency at Whole Foods at 500 W. Germantown Pike in Plymouth Township.  Store employees recognized the male suspects from previous counterfeit currency incidents earlier in the month.  Employees called 911 and provided police with a description of the suspects and following a short foot chase both suspects were taken into custody in the area of Plymouth Road and Germantown Pike.  The suspects were identified as Lonnell Chestnut and Jisceton Cobb.  A subsequent investigation revealed that Chestnut and Cobb passed counterfeit currency at the following stores in the Plymouth Meeting Mall on March 28, 2019 as well: Boscov’s, F.Y.E. Music Store, Express Factory Outlet, New York & Company Outlet, H&M Clothing, The Rock Shop, Shoe Department Encore, Schuylkill Valley Sports and Victoria Secret.      

Lonnell Chestnut and Jisceton Cobb were arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Francis J. Bernhardt III on March 29, 2019.  Bail was set at $25,000 cash and a preliminary hearing date is scheduled for April 11, 2019 at 0945 hours.  Chestnut and Cobb are currently being held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in Eagleville.
