Update on Balligomingo Road

Work continues on Balligomingo Road in West Conshohocken. Mudslides from an adjacent hill have caused the road to be closed since 2015.

There was a dispute between the then property owner of 14 Union Hill (at the top of the hill) and West Conshohocken over who was responsible for the issue. The property owner died complicating the matter even further. Eventually, the state stepped and pushed the repairs forward.

As you can see in the photo at the top of the article, a wall has been built at the base of the hill in the problematic area.

The dispute involves who was responsible for removing the trees on the hillside. The picture on the left is from 2011. The picture to the left is from before the repairs were started in 2019.

The project is scheduled to be completed in May of 2020.
