Update on Stabbing at West 10th and Colwell Lane

Below is an update from the Plymouth Township Police Department about the stabbing that took place yesterday near West 10th and Colwell Lane in the Conshohocken section of Plymouth Township:

On Tuesday July 14, 2015 at approximately 4:28PM members of the Plymouth Township Police Department responded to the Colwell Industrial Park at 1050 Colwell Lane (Rainbow Restoration International) for a stabbing.

Once there police discovered and provided first aid to the victim, who was bleeding from a stab wound approximately 10 inches long, across his abdomen. The victim is a 44 year old male from the 6200 block of Cardiff Street in the City of Philadelphia, The victim was transported by Plymouth Community Ambulance to Paoli Hospital for treatment of his wounds.  His injuries are non-life threatening.

At the scene Plymouth Township Police arrested Bryan Joseph Klein, age 23 of the 1900 block of Wishart Street also in the city of Philadelphia.

According to witnesses, the victim and Klein work together and got into a physical altercation at work, which resulted in the victim being stabbed by Klein.

Klein is charged with the following offenses:

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Simple Assault
  • Prohibited Offensive Weapons
  • Possessing Instruments of Crime With Intent to Employ it Criminally
  • Recklessly Endangering Another Person

Klein was arraigned by District Justice Francis Bernhardt and remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of $250,000 bail.  His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 30, 2015 at 10:45AM at District Court 38-1-13 in Plymouth Township.
