Aqua is reporting a service issue involving a main that has resulted in a shutdown of water service on East Elm Street, between Ash and Poplar streets, and Poplar Street from East Elm Street to Washington Street. Approximately one to 100 accounts are impacted.

Pepperoncini, which is located at the corner of Polar and East Elm streets, first reported the issue at approximately 1:30 p.m. It has closed for the day.

According to Aqua’s website, repairs are underway and could take anywhere between four and 12 hours. Repairs started at 3:15 p.m.
