Weather emergency declared for West Conshohocken

Mayor Danielle Fournier of the Borough of West Conshohocken has declared a weather emergency from Wednesday, September 1st through Thursday, September 2nd at 8:00 a.m. due to the remnants of Tropical Depression Ida which is expected to have significant rainfall and flooding across the area.

From the notice:

The heaviest rainfall is expected Wednesday into Wednesday night. Excessive rainfall associated with Tropical Depression Storm IDA combined with pre-saturated conditions will likely result in considerable flash and river flooding, with anticipated damaging wind gusts. Roadways may be impacted to flash flooding and we are asking motorists to heed all warning signs and not drive through closed highways.
