Weis Markets announced today that it has begun selling wine in its Conshohocken in-store cafes where beer is currently sold. It also added wine sales in Doylestown and Norristown.
Each store’s 30-seat café features 180 imported and domestic wines, including bottles from Pennsylvania vineyards, as well as a chilled section. These cafes are the first Weis Markets in the Delaware Valley to sell a full selection of wine. Weis Markets’ in-store cafes in Lansdale and Willow Grove will offer between ten to fifteen varieties of wine until a full selection is added.
In addition to wine, shoppers can also choose from 600 to 800 varieties of beer available in the cafe, including an extensive selection of domestic and local craft beers.
Each café is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Weis is the second place to offer wine sales since the law changed this past summer. Flanigan’s Boathouse, downstairs in its Below Deck Bottle Shop, began offering a 25 bottle selection in August.
