The two educators shared that graffiti that included a swastika and racial epithets were discovered by a student in a restroom in the D wing of the campus.

The message sent by the school district can be found below.

We wanted to make you aware that we are working with Whitemarsh Township Police Department to investigate an act of vandalism that we believe occurred today at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School.

In the early afternoon, a student who had visited a restroom in the D wing reported that there was graffiti on the inside of the stall door. The graffiti included a swastika and racial epithets. The teacher informed security and administration about the issue and steps were taken to immediately remove the message.

We are proud that the student and teacher took swift action to report this incident so we could quickly erase the inflammatory message. An investigation is taking place to see if we can determine who is responsible and then we will take appropriate disciplinary measures. Colonial School District strongly condemns hate speech in any form and will not tolerate these acts of intimidation in our schools or on school property.

We are here to support any student who may be upset upon hearing about this incident. If your child should need assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to one of our counselors.
