Received this email from the Colonial School District yesterday:

The Colonial Board of School Directors has received the resignation of Julie Knudsen. Mrs. Knudsen, who was elected to the School Board in 2011 has stepped down for personal reasons. The Board is now accepting applications from persons interested in filling the vacant seat. Interested persons must be a resident of the Colonial School District and possess a keen interest in public education. Applications are available in the District Superintendent’s Office located in Colonial Elementary School, 230 Flourtown Road in Plymouth Meeting; may be printed from the District’s website at www.colonialsd.org; may be requested through the mail, by calling 610-834-1671, ext. 2132 or may be requested by e-mailing dsherman@colonialsd.org. The application deadline is noon on Friday, December 7. The Board will appoint a new member by December 19.
