During the December 13th meeting of West Conshohocken’s Borough Council, the council members voted to appoint Zachary Nelson to fill the seat of Richard Greenstein who resigned from the council.

During the same meeting, Councilmember Jose Ignacio Gonzalez announced his resignation from the council marketing the fourth member of the borough council to resign in the past six months. Greenstein, Jack Cooper, and Doug Borgerson all resigned due to moving out of the borough. We have not yet learned Gonzalez’s reason.

West Conshohocken’s Borough Council now has 30 days to appoint someone to fill Gonzalez’s seat. After the new year, the council will have a majority of members who have been appointed.

The Borough of West Conshohocken is looking to fill a vacancy on Borough Council to fill a term until the first Monday in January 2024 after the next municipal election in November of 2023. Interested persons must be a registered elector of the Borough who have resided in the Borough continuously for one year immediately prior to January 9 , 2023.
