Binnie and Bob Bianco sent us a photo and video of a rare ice circle that has formed in the Gulph Creek off Balligomingo Road. Ice circles, or discs, form in slow moving water during cold weather. You can read about the science behind this phenomena here.
Two readers sent in photos of SEPTA Bus 97 stuck in the ice and snow this morning. It happened near Spring Mill Avenue and Apple Street. One reader reports it has been stuck at least 25 minutes and is still stuck as of 9:00 a.m.
