The primary election in Conshohocken and West Conshohocken was uneventful, as there were no contested races. The most interesting aspect will be to see if any successful write-in campaigns emerged. The general election is scheduled for November 4th.

Borough of Conshohocken
On the Democratic Party side, the borough-wide turnout was 20.16% or 692 out of 3,432 registered voters, with 430 casting a ballot at the polls and 262 submitting a mail-in ballot.
On the Republican Party side, the borough-wide turnout was 10.14% or 224 out of 2,210 registered voters, with 165 casting a ballot at the polls and 59 submitting a mail-in ballot.
In Ward 2, the sole Democratic Party candidate, incumbent Adrian Serna, received 22 votes to advance to the general election. In the uncontested Republican Party primary, candidate Rich Kosich, got a whopping nine votes to advance to the general election.
In Ward 4, the sole Democratic Party candidate, Daniel McCardle, received 101 votes to advance to the general election. On the Republican side, Michael Patitucci III received 21 votes to move on to the general election.
In Ward 6, incumbent Democratic Party candidate Stacy Ellam received 99 votes to advance to the general election. The Republican Party did not have a candidate on the ballot, but we are told that former mayor Robert Frost ran a write-in campaign in an effort to earn his way onto the ballot for the general election. Republicans cast 48 write-in votes, with 26 marked unresolved. We are not yet sure if Frost’s write-in campaign was successful.
For mayor, incumbent mayor, Yaniv Aronson, received 640 votes to advance to the general election. On the Republican side, second-time candidate Mike Makoid received 185 votes to advance to the general election.
For tax collector, the Democrats did not have a candidate on the ballot, and there are 84 write-in votes that are unresolved. For the Republicans, longtime tax collector Dominic Coccia, Jr. received 209 votes to advance to the general election.
Borough of West Conshohocken
In West Conshohocken, voters for both parties were asked to vote for three candidates to fill three seats for four years on the borough council, plus to vote for one candidate to fill a seat for two years (due to a resignation).
The Democratic Party had three candidates for the four-year seats, all incumbents, who all advanced to the general election. They are Richard Marr with 132 votes, Stephen Blumenthal with 127 votes, and Tara Gorney with 127 votes.
The Republicans only had one name on the ballot, Walter Gleba, who received 83 votes. There are also 46 unresolved write-in votes. Dave Frankenfield ran a write-in campaign and will need at least 10 votes to advance to the general election with Gleba.
For the two-year seat, there was one Democrat running, incumbent Tori Conicello-Emery, who received 139 votes to advance to the general election. There wasn’t a Republican candidate on the ballot, and there are 19 unresolved write-in votes.
For mayor, the Democrats had one candidate, incumbent Danelle Fournier, who received 147 votes to advance to the general election. There wasn’t a Republican candidate on the ballot, and there are 21 unresolved write-in votes.
For tax collector, the Democrats had one candidate, incumbent Jerry Conicello, who received 136 votes to advance to the general election. There wasn’t a Republican candidate on the ballot, and there are eight unresolved write-in votes.
