29 Townhomes Proposed on Matsonford Road

There was an interesting meeting of West Conshohocken’s Borough Council on March 11th where a proposed townhouse development was discussed. The 29 townhouses were originally a project of Cornell Homes, which built the townhouse community behind McDonald’s on Moorehead Road in West Conshohocken. The project is now being undertaken by Chris Hogan, who was formally of Cornell Homes.

Hogan’s attorney making a presentation before Borough Council was Ross Weiss. Weiss is the attorney who famously referred to Wawa as a corner store while representing the developers of the proposed Wawa in Conshohocken. This project was previously presented to West Conshohocken’s Borough Council back in August of 2013. The presentation was informal and asked input from council. There were a few suggestions and during the meeting in October acknowledged that the suggestions were incorporated into the plan.

The minutes from the March 11th meeting are interesting to read in regards to how developers propose projects and how your elected representatives react to them. You can view the minutes by clicking here. There are also a couple of interesting public comments.
