The Philadelphia Business Journal reported on June 29th that Ridge Metals Corp. is closing its scrap metal operation at 407 Alan Wood Road in Conshohocken (Plymouth Township) and has listed its 6.5-acre property for sale.
From the article:
The property is unremarkable but for its location. It’s just a few minutes from the Blue Route, the Pennsylvania Turnpike, the Schuylkill Expressway and other major thoroughfares such as Ridge Pike and Conshohocken State Road. Being so close to so many highways provides easy access to Philadelphia and its suburbs, and situates it within a few hours’ drive of other major markets throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
The property at 407 Alan Wood also sits across from Ikea, near 1103 Ridge Pike where Amazon leased a building for a last-mile distribution center, and close to Bimbo Bakeries’ new distribution center — all of which further validates it as a desirable location.
The property doesn’t appear to be posted on any of the major commercial real estate listing sites. The property is represented by Jeff Mack and Justin Bell of Newmark.
