The Plymouth Township Police Department announced on September 3rd the arrest of Eric Catenacci and
Rachelle Catenacci, of Catenacci Construction LLC, for Corrupt Organizations, Dealing in Proceeds of Unlawful Activities, Theft by Deception, Deceptive Business Practices, Home Improvement Fraud, and Criminal Conspiracy.
The charges stem from a 10-month investigation undertaken by the Plymouth Township Police Department that commenced in November 2024. Police received several reports from township residents involving “incomplete residential construction projects despite payments being made to Catenacci
Construction, LLC.”
According to police, investigators discovered a pattern of deceptive business practices utilized by the Canenaccis through their business. The practices involved bidding on home improvement projects, accepting money for the work, and then not completing the work or providing “work that was deficient of industry standards and best practices.”
Police also allege that the duo failed to pay subcontractors for work that was completed, filed false permit applications with the township, completed projects without proper permits, and encouraged subcontractors to file mechanical liens against the resident’s property for non-payment.
The pair turned themselves in to the police the week of August 25th and were charged in relation to the investigation. Both were arraigned at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, and bail was set $50,000, unsecured. Preliminary hearings are scheduled for Tuesday, September 9th at 10:00 a.m. at District Court 38-1-13.
The Plymouth Township Police Department believes there may be other victims. If you have any information or believe yourself to be a victim, you are asked to contact the Plymouth Township Police Department at (610) 279-1901.
