The Philadelphia Business Journal published an article on October 22nd titled “Paris Baguette plans 19 more cafes in Greater Philadelphia, including first in South Jersey” that detailed the bakery/cafe chain’s plan for expansion in the region.
Paris Baguette is a South Korean-based multinational chain of bakery-cafes that offers a variety of pastries, breads, sandwiches, salads, and coffee drinks, as well as cakes and other desserts. It has over 4,000 locations worldwide, with 200 in the United States and Canada. It currently has 10 locations in the Philadelphia area.
The story focuses on the chain’s planned growth in the region. In addition to three locations closer to opening, the article includes a list of 16 communities with “deals signed and cafes in various stages of development.” One of these locations is Plymouth Meeting.
A specific location in Plymouth Meeting is not mentioned; however, it may have secured a franchisee to open the location, and no physical space has been selected at this point. The chain prefers endcaps with an outdoor seating area.
This likely won’t happen quickly. The only timing offered is prior to 2029.
