Before the Phillies game on Saturday, August 22nd at 6:05 p.m., Plymouth Elementary School physical education eacher Christi Rabenda will be honored on field as part of the IBX Honor Roll program, which recognizes “teachers hitting it out of the park in and out of the classroom.” The Phillies will be taking on the St. Louis Cardinals.
Rabenda, who has taught for 24 years, was nominated and selected for the IBX Honor Roll, a program that recognizes outstanding educators in the region for helping shape the future of students, schools, and communities. Only six teachers are selected each year for the honor roll based on submitted nominations. Ms. Rabenda was nominated by fellow teacher Tracy O’Shea.
“It was really great it happened that way because I was celebrated by my colleagues and students on the last day of school, and that was really special,” said Rabenda. “I was very surprised, humbled, and excited.”
