Following a report by MoreThanTheCurve.com that Plymouth Township failed to provide proper notice prior to the zoning hearing scheduled for September 17th, the township announced that the hearing has been canceled. This is the second time in two years a report by MoreThanTheCurve.com has led the township to not hold a zoning hearing as scheduled.

The September 17th hearing involved the proposed data center at 900 Conshohocken Road in Conshohocken (Plymouth Township).

In 2021, the Sunshine Act was amended to include a requirement that any municipality with a website post agendas for meetings, such as zoning hearings, 24 hours prior to the start of the meeting.

In the announcement about the cancellation, the township cited not posting the agenda as an “administrative oversight” and apologized to the community for the sudden cancellation. It also said that if the hearing had been held as scheduled, it risked “making the entire hearing invalid.”

A new date for the hearing was not yet released.
