Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele and Plymouth Township Police Chief John C. Myrsiades have announced an investigation into the death of a seven-year-old girl who died after falling from a truck.
According to the announcement, Plymouth Township Police were called to Einstein Montgomery County on Tuesday, August 22nd at 8:36 p.m., after the girl was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle. She died a short time later.
A joint investigation into the child’s death by the Plymouth Township Police and Montgomery County Detectives was launched and found that the girl along with four other neighborhood children were playing outside when a neighborhood adult male gave the children a ride in the back of his Isuzu Elf pick-up truck. The girl fell out of the truck as the driver turned a corner at the intersection of Jolly and Harvard Roads.
An autopsy was completed on the body of the girl this morning by Dr. Kahlil Wardak of
the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office. Dr. Wardak determined that the cause of death was
blunt impact injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
