Lafayette Hill based non-profit Merakey was in the news in 2023 due to an announced merger with Elwyn, a Delaware County non-profit. Both organizations offer services to those with Intellectual and developmental disabilities. When combined the new entity would have 12,000 employees with 55,000 clients across 16 states. It was expected that the merger would create a $1 billion dollar organization.
That merger is no longer going forward according to an article in Behavioral Health News:

While the two nonprofits declined to answer questions about why the tie-up didn’t materialize, a C-suite executive of Merakey told Behavioral Health Business that “both organizations mutually agreed to walk away from the affiliation.”
