Reports are coming in that an aircraft has made an emergency landing on May 19th at approximately 7:45 p.m. near the intersection of Musket and Powderhorn roads in Fort Washington (Whitemarsh Township). We used the term “aircraft” because the Montgomery County alert system listed it as a “plane crash,” while a source informed us that it was a helicopter.

According to a source, the aircraft landed safely, and there are no reported injuries.

UPDATE – The helicopter involved was PENNSTAR1, a medical helicopter stationed at Wings Field in Blue Bell (Whitpain Township).
