A few of the boards and commissions that advise Conshohocken’s Borough Council have one or more vacancies. Below are the details:
Board of Code Appeals –Three (3) Vacancies
The Borough of Conshohocken Board of Code Appeals is responsible for entertaining, considering, and adjudicating appeals arising from or relating to the State Building Code and the Conshohocken Borough Property Maintenance Code. The Board of Code Appeals should consist of three (3) members who are qualified by experience and training to pass on matters pertaining to building, construction, and property maintenance, and who are not employees of the Borough.
Borough Council may appoint an alternate member who may be called upon by the Chair of the Board to consider Appeals during the absence or disqualification of a member of the Board. Alternate members shall possess the same qualifications required for Board Membership.
Dog Park Advisory Committee – Two (2) Vacancies
The purpose of the Dog Park Advisory Committee is to work in concert with Borough Administration in assessing and making recommendations to ensure both dog parks in Conshohocken meet the capital and operational needs of the community. The Dog Park Advisory Committee consists of nine (9) members that must be residents of the Borough of Conshohocken. In 2017 the Dog Park Advisory Committee will meetings every other month on the third Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm.
Environmental Advisory Council – Two (2) Vacancies
The purpose of the Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) is to identify environmental problems and recommend plans and programs to Borough Council, the Planning Commission and other Boards and Commissions of the Borough. The EAC functions to promote the conservation of natural resources, and to protect and improve the environment of the Borough of Conshohocken. In 2018 the EAC will meet the third Thursday of the month at 6:30pm.
Planning Commission – One (1) Vacancy
The Planning Commission helps to coordinate development within the Borough. It also takes into account the general welfare and prosperity of its people, and attains uniform and harmonious growth within the Borough. Its primary goal is to investigate, advise, and recommend potential land development changes to Borough Council. In 2018 meetings will be held the second Thursday of the month at 7:00pm.
