Tuesday night at Bar Lucca there will be an epic culinary battle between two men known for their beards. John “The Beard” Mathas (pictured right), Pieri Restaurant Group’s sommelier, will be selecting and representing wine for the evening, and Damien Fuschetto (pictured left) of Penn Beer will be selecting and representing beer.

Guests will determine the winner over a four course event at Bar Lucca. Each course will be paired with both a hand selected wine and beer.

The loser has to shave his beard off. Fuschetto hasn’t shaved since 2016. Mathas since 2013.
