Starting September 16th, Pennsylvania retail outlets that have obtained a permit and are currently selling beer and wine will also be able to offer spirits-based ready-to-drink cocktails with similar alcohol-by-volume content to the beer and wine already being sold.
The Below Deck Bottle Shop (adjacent to Flanigan’s Boathouse) has announced that it will take advantage of this new law and will begin offering canned cocktail products from over 20 brands, such as High Noon, Stateside, Cutwater, and NÜTRL starting September 16th.
Overall, this change in the law will add more than 10,000 new retail outlets that can sell spirits (ready to drink) by allowing these products to be sold from establishments with an “R” or hotel liquor license that already provides for the sale of beer and wine products.
