It looks like Conshohocken’s Borough Council has decided to sell Leeland Mansion (Old Borough Hall) at West 8th and Fayette. Today the Borough of Conshohocken issued a RFP seeking bids to purchase the property. You can download the bid materials online.

For those who are concerned about the property being knocked down or dramatically altered, please note that the Borough plans to offer some level of protection to the property. Within the bid documents, its states:

The structure is of historic significance to the Borough and, as a result, the Borough will issue a deed to the Property which will include a façade easement preventing destruction, modification or revision to the architectural features contained on the exterior of the mansion, including the portico, porch, perimeter walls and other features without express written consent by the Borough.
