Breaking | Colonial School Board votes to move to a hybrid model

The Colonial School Board voted tonight to switch to a hybrid education model through two 6-3 votes. Superintendent Dr. Michael Christian proposed initiating a hybrid education model starting October 19th for grades kindergarten through fifth and October 26th for sixth through 12.

District schools closed in March of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and reopened for the 2020-21 school year in a fully virtual model.

The votes broke down as follows:

Eunice Franklin-Becker – No
Susan Moore – Yes
Rosemary Northcutt – Yes
Beth Patruno – Yes
Cathy Peduzzi – Yes
Adam Schupak – No
Beth Suchsland – Yes
