Cafe Neos has opened in Conshohocken

Cafe Neos opened this week at 16 East 1st Avenue in Conshohocken. The cafe features pastries from its in-house pastry chef, light lunch fare, coffee from Philadelphia-based Elixer, espresso, and tea, and more. Unique to the cafes in the area, Cafe Neos has a liquor license that it shares with its soon-to-open sister restaurant, Neos Americana, and offers a selection of wine and cocktails.

Owners Kurt Benkurt and Annalise Long emphasize that the space is designed to slow life down and serve as a community hub. You are encouraged to stay a while and enjoy a relaxing conversation over tea or Turkish coffee.

Cafe Neos is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It is stroller-friendly.

Café Neos offers a variety of Rishi loose-leaf teas, served in teapots.

Cafe Neos offers Turkish coffee, which is finely ground and unfiltered, brewed slowly in a small pot called a cezve. Cafe Neos describes the result as a “rich, velvety cup that’s deeply aromatic.”

Turkish coffee is traditionally served in small cups with a touch of sugar, a sweet treat on the saucer.
