Meteorologist Cecily Tynan announced her retirement from 6ABC Action News in late July. The Connecticut native spent 30 years at the station and worked in television news in Virginia and Nevada before coming to Philadelphia. In her final sign-off on Action News, she mentions that after being hired by 6ABC, she had two days to learn how to pronounce local names like Schuylkill and Conshohocken.
