Chef Chip Roman to close Blackfish BYOB after almost 20 year run in Conshohocken

Chef Chip Roman and his wife, Amanda, announced on December 1st that they will close Blackfish BYOB after an almost 20-year run on Fayette Street in Conshohocken. The last day of service will be December 31st. The closure will also include his catering company.

In the announcement, Roman shared that he is preparing for the next chapter of his life and thanked the guests and staff. He shared with MoreThanTheCurve.com that he has no specific plans for the future.

The seafood-centric Blackfish opened in 2006 and, in 2011, was named the best restaurant in Philadelphia by Philadelphia Magazine.

“Chip and Amanda paved the way for so many of us by taking a chance on Conshohocken, shared restaurateur Brian Pieri, who opened three restaurants in Conshohocken starting in 2009. “They had an incredible run and were an amazing part of the food scene here. We wish them much success on whatever is next.”
