Whitemarsh Township sent out a notice this evening that there was a chemical spill at a business, Klenzoid, located at 912 Spring Mill Avenue in Conshohocken (Whitemarsh Township). Klenzoid is the water treatment business.

Below is the notice:

This afternoon and into this evening, we became aware of a chemical spill at Klenzoid Inc., at 912 Spring Mill Ave in the Conshohocken section of our township.

Spring Mill Fire Company became aware of this spill and dispatched fire personnel and Dep. Fire Marshal Rose to the scene. Neutralizer was placed on the spill and efforts were made to contain it. The Montgomery County Hazardous Material Team dispatched a technician and a Haz Mat Team from Montgomery County was dispatched.

Spring Mill Avenue is closed between 9th Ave and 10th Ave, but there has been NO evacuations or shelter in place orders issued. There is NO immediate threat to the public.
